One of Scotland’s oldest fishing hotels is celebrating its 200th birthday and History Scotland is giving readers the chance to win a two-night stay at this historic hotel. The Altnaharra site was a drovers’ inn in the 16th century, opening as a hotel in 1821.

Set in the north west Highlands, an hour's drive north from Inverness, Altnaharra has twelve bedrooms plus a self-catering cottage.

Our prize is two nights’ bed and breakfast for two at the Altnaharra Hotel, with dinner on the first night. Accommodation is subject to availability and based on two sharing, and must be taken by 30 November 2021. No drinks, other meals or travel expenses are included.
