A Taste of the Past will be at Perth Museum & Art Gallery from 14 January 2020, showcasing eleven Perth shops, restaurants, bakeries and cafe through time.

Between them, the photographs tell a story about food in Perth, using photographs taken between 1876-1948 and today.

These buildings are still in use, some still used by the same business. Visitors can use the archive images to explore these buildings and notice elements of the structures that have changed over the years, as well as finding out about the characters and history behind these businesses.

The images have been selected from the Photographic Collection at Perth Museum & Art Gallery and also from within the Perth & Kinross Archive at AK Bell Library in Perth.
