On this day in history - William of Orange invaded England

On 5 November 1688 William of Orange invaded England to claim the crowns of England and Scotland.

On this day in 1688 William of Orange invaded England in order to claim the throne from the Catholic King James. The following year, William and his wife Mary were crowned joint sovereigns.
