Architect Robert Adam died - On this day in history

Robert Adam, one of Scotland's finest architects, died in London on 3 March 1792. Among his many works were Culzean Castle, Fort George, The Town House, Inveraray and Glasgow Trades Hall. Adam died at his London home on Albermarle Street at the age of 63 and left his estate to his two sisters, as he had no children to inherit.
