Scottish folk singer Robin Hall was born on 27 June 1936.

Scottish folk singer Robin Hall was born on 27 June 1936 in Edinburgh. Hall, who achieved fame with fellow musician Jimmy McGregor in the 1960s on the Tonight show, studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Drama.

He was a regular on the TV show The White Heather Club and together with Jimmy Mc Gregor, recorded more than twenty albums, which included well-loved tunes such as The Mingulay Boat Song and Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny aff a Bus.
