Plans to place a wind turbine close to the Castle of Mey, the late Queen Mother's residence, have been rejected.

A farmer's appeal against his rejected plans to place a wind turbine close to the historic Castle of Mey, the late Queen Mother's residence, has been rejected. Scottish Ministers, appointed by the Highland Council to look into the appeal, concluded that the turbine was not at odds with the listed building, but that the turbine would cause an 'adverse impact on residential amenity'.
