The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum has given online access to thousands of unique and delicate items relating to Robert Burns. Staff at the museum have spent months curating, selecting and photographing items from the Burns collections, allowing fans of Robbie Burns to search for and examine annotated manuscripts for some of the poet's best-loved works.

Amy Miller, project manager at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, said: 'We are privileged to care for the world’s most significant collection of Burns artefacts, but we know not everyone can make it to Alloway. And indeed, we simply don’t have the space to display every single piece in our collection.

'This fabulous online resource will open up the world of Burns to folk from near and far, and hopefully encourage some to visit the museum and explore our exhibition for themselves.'
