An index of more than 30,000 baptism records from the Free Church of Scotland in the Scottish Highlands has been released by genealogy website FindMyPast.

An index of more than 30,000 baptism records from the Free Church of Scotland in the Scottish Highlands has been released by genealogy website FindMyPast.

The index, created from transcripts by the Highland Family History Society, includes records from Caithness, Cromarty-shire, Inverness-shire, Moray, Ross-shire, and Sutherland.

With each result, you will find a transcript of the vital facts that may include a combination of your ancestor's birth date, baptism date, location, parent's names, residence and occupation.

What information do the records contain?

The amount of information found in each results may vary, but you may find a combination of following facts about your ancestor:
