Scottish Archaeology Month 2012 events for the Argyll and Bute region.

Campbeltown Heritage Trails, every Wednesday during August, 2pm; leaves from the Aqualibrium in Campbeltown.

The tours provide locals and visitors alike with a fascinating insight into the area’s historic past. The tours are completely free of charge and will last approximately one hour.  A selection of 3 leaflets are available to compliment the tours.

The initiative is funded via the Campbeltown THI whose funders include the Heritage Lottery Fund, Argyll and Bute Council and Argyll and the Islands Leader. For further details, tel: 01586 559048.

Campbeltown Architectural Tour, 24 August, 2pm; leaves from Campbeltown Aqualibrium.

Join Campbeltown Heritage Trail Group and learn about simple architectural terms whilst gaining an insight into some of Campbeltown’s finest buildings and the history behind these. Booking is essential. To reserve a place please phone the Tourist Information Centre on: 01586 552056.
