Undergraduate Courses at the University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute
The University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute offers both single honours degrees in Archaeology (BA Hons) and Archaeological Science (BSc Hons), along with a range of joint degrees where you can combine Archaeology with subjects such as History, Environmental Studies, Criminology, Literature and Sociology. You can study at one of a number of campuses across the Highlands and Islands region, whether that be in Orkney, the Western Isles or Inverness and Perth. You will also have the option to move between campuses during your study to be able to fully experience this amazing region of world-class archaeology and landscape.

Postgraduate Courses at the University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute
The University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute offers postgraduate opportunities to complete research through MLitt Archaeological Studies, MSc Archaeological Practice, MLitt History and Archaeology of the Highlands and Islands.
These courses are designed for students who have already obtained a 2:2 Honours degree or above in archaeology or a relevant subject or equivalent academic or professional qualifications. However, candidates who possess experience in archaeology or a related field may also be able to apply. If in doubt then just get in touch with us.
We also offer research opportunities through our PhD, MPhil and MRes provision for students who have obtained a 2:1 Honours and/or a taught Masters degree - see our staff research pages for information on our areas of research expertise.
