In the May issue of Scottish Memories magazine we took a look at the news, films, music and people who made 1984 so special.

The year got off to a great start for rugby union fans and Scotland triumphed over France to take the Grand Slam title for the second time in history. Here, John Rutherford and Roy Laidlaw remember the victory:



Continuing with sport, and the sensation of the summer was the collision between Team GB runner Zola Budd and American champion Mary Decker in the 300 metres final. Watch the drama here:
