Eilean Donan Castle, Edinburgh and Tobermory are three of the historic locations that feature in History Scotland's new advert, inviting history lovers around the world to get closer to Scottish history with History Scotland magazine.
The one-minute advert has been seen by thousands of history lovers around the world, and has been shared across social media, on sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Since its inception in 2001, History Scotland has sought to reach history enthusiasts across the globe, promoting Scotland's rich past to both academic and non-academic audiences.
Editor Rachel Bellerby said: 'Our latest advert uses the country's beautiful scenery and some of our best-loved and globally-known sites to invite people around the world to connect with Scotland and our past.
