The Craigmillar Bond of 1566 will be brought to life as part of a special event themed around Mary Queen of Scots and her second husband Lord Darnley.
Visitors to Craigmillar Castle in Edinburgh will experience the medieval building in a new light, as this special event returns for a second year.
The event, held from 7 to 10 November, will allow visitors to listen in on the dark plot of 1566 and encounter key characters as you tour the castle and hear of the fate that befell Mary Queen of Scots’ husband, Lord Darnley.

Historic Environment Scotland have announced that although the event takes place at Craigmillar Castle, attendees are asked to meet at Broad Pavement Car Park in Holyrood Park. You will hear the tale unfold on the coach from Holyrood Park, and the story will continue within the castle. The coach will return you to Holyrood Park at the end of the tour. Buses will leave promptly on the hour, so please arrive in plenty time for departure.
