The Afterlife of Mary Queen of Scots Symposium, 2 February

This symposium is designed to complement the University of Glasgow led research project mapping the presence of Mary Queen of Scots items in Scottish heritage collections, aimed at understanding how Mary’s legend has impacted on Scottish society and culture, and the resulting major new exhibition exploring the cultural afterlife of Scotland’s most controversial monarch and her posthumous reputation, currently on show at The Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow.

Through items from the University of Glasgow’s collections, The Afterlife of Mary Queen of Scots exhibition covers themes such as Princess, Queen and Captive, From Power to Romance and Iconic Mary.

Attendance is available in person on online and you can find out more here.
