A notice on the Tattoo website reads: Talented and passionate volunteer pipers, drummers, and dancers from around the globe are encouraged to apply to make up three files and perform on the world-renowned Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle to audiences of over 8,000 each night.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo commit £1m in funding to military and arts charities each year. These grants are donated to a variety of projects including helping to support veterans and bolstering traditional Scottish music and dance funding. By performing at the Tattoo, you can play your part in raising these much-needed funds as well as enjoying an unforgettable experience as part of this iconic event.
