History Scotland's winter lecture programme covers centuries of history, with a varied selection of topics ranging from the afterlife of Mary Queen of Scots, to the story of Scotland's first printed book.

Since the launch of our online programme in November 2020, thousands of history lovers around the world have enjoyed History Scotland's online lectures. These are expert and exclusive Zoom talks presenting Scottish history research in an engaging format.

The talks cover a wide range of topics and each is delivered by an expert in the field, who delivers a c.45-minute talk, followed by a Q&A session chaired by Dr Allan Kennedy, History Scotland's consultant editor, or Dr Louise Heren, reviews editor.

Winter 2022-23

Each 45-minute talk starts at 6.30pm and is followed by a 30 minute Q&A with the speaker. Tickets cost £10 each. Each event is recorded and the recording is made available to ticket holders for 7 days afterwards. Got a question? E-mail Rachel Bellerby.
