Calling all international Scottish societies

The team behind Scottish Memories are inviting Scottish societies from all corners of the globe to get in contact and share their news for a new feature in the digital edition of the magazine.

The new 'Society Spotlight' and 'Society News' pages will keep readers up to date with the many Scottish activities happening all over the world. The first feature will provide a history and background to a group, giving readers information on joining, while the 'news' will include the latest stories and events taking place.

Just e-mail us to be included in either feature!

For the 'Society Spotlight' feature we need:
• Your society details
• A brief history
• Regular activities and events
• Details of membership
• A logo and (if possible, high-resolution) photographs of members

For the 'Society News' feature, just send your latest news, whether it's about an event, meeting, or a member.

Editor Matt Hill said: 'Whether you're in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan or Timbuktu, we'd love to hear from you! We'd love to learn more about how Scottish heritage is celebrated around the world and so would our readers. That's why we're introducing a new regular feature showcasing societies, groups and clans, and sharing their news.

'Since our digital issue can be read on computers, tablets and smartphones anywhere in the world, it seemed like the perfect platform to celebrate Scottish organisations.'

The society pages will be published in the digital edition of Scottish Memories in early 2014.
